RIKISHI Shinai is based on an actual Katana to focus mainly on Kihon. Many people who practice Kendo have a tendency to focus mainly on speed and look for a lighter Shinai as a result. This Shinai is designed for such individuals to focus more on proper Kihon and to develop muscles in the right areas.

Actual Shinai weight is almost 600g since we used a heavier and stronger bamboo but since it has an exceptional balance just like TAKATE and HINKAKU, it feels less than 540g when you are using it.

Just as TAKATE and HINKAKU, there is a small Sakura design added on the exterior to give its character and is custom bulit to our specification in a facility in Japan.

This grip of the Shinai is an average thickness similar to our popular E-mudo AAA Shinais.
