The E-mudo Musashi Katana is both a collectible and utilitarian blade suited to tameshigiri and battou-jutsu. These katana are produced with a hard, high carbon steel which are polished to a micro-fine edge suitable for tameshigiri and other sword exercises. About the blade: the shinogi-ji steel has a clear sheen, a suguha hamon is prominent, and based on your choice, the swords are available with or without bo-hi (sword groove). Features of this high carbon katana koshirae are ray skin on the tsuka with a tightly-woven silk wrap (tsuka-ito) and a tsuba inspired by that of Miyamoto Musashi. This katana is polished in part by machine and in part with polishing stones. Tsuka-ito are available in three different colors: black, brown, green.
