e-mudo Arashi O-Katana is similar to the Arashi katana except in length. It features blade length of 31.7 in. The Arashi O-Katana is expertly forged, which allows an expert little effort to perform the task of cutting. The spring steel of the blade is durable, and it serves as a more ideal medium with which one may practice the art of cutting as compared to expensive metals that may be damaged with kizu. Features of e-mudo Arashi Katana koshirae are ray skin on the tsuka with a tightly-woven silk wrap (tsuka-ito) and a historical hiryuu, flying dragon, motif on the tsuba. To meet the sword cutting purpose, its long tang was designed to be securely locked in the tsuka with the brass habaki and a mekugi (peg).
