The E-mudo Arashi Maru Katana, also called Kogarasu Maru named after one of the great sword treasures of Japan, is one of the most unique lines of Japanese swords available. In design, the Maru Katana is similar to the katana, with blade forged from spring steel for durability and carefully balanced for performance, but having slightly shorter blade and tsuka. The most striking difference, however, is evident with how the blade is forged issaki Moro ha Zukuri design. One side of the blade features a normal tachi fashion edge, but unlike a normal tachi, the edge continues from the tip of the blade on to the back side until the mid-point of the blade. The tsuka of Arashi Maru Katana features skillfully crafted koshirae with ray skin wrapped with tightly-woven silk.
